Starting on Jan. 1, 2023, health insurance issuers and group health plans must provide an internet-based price comparison tool to participants, beneficiaries, and enrollees. Consumers will be able to compare costs before receiving care using this tool, which provides them with real-time estimates of their cost-sharing liability from different providers for covered items and services, including prescription drugs.
